You want to maintain your Amazon EC2 infrastructure? You need Decaf!

Following general heath of your cloud is becoming very easy by using Decaf! Most of the time everything is fine and you will be using Decaf to confirm that to you, it will give you the confidence everything is operating smoothly. Here you find some of the functionalities Decaf will offer you:


Widget

Your Widget!

On your home you will find your widget, you will use it to get directly notified when things out of the ordinary happen. For this, the widget is updated automatically because you only want to be notified of differences that occurred recently.

The charts give you information about trends and variations in average CPU performance, total disk reads and writes and total incoming/outgoing network traffic over, for example, the past 24 hours. The widget gives you the opportunity to continuously monitor the health of your infrastructure.


Dashboard

Your Dashboard!

When you take a look at your dashboard in a glance you will see everything you want to know of your account. From the dashboard you can access everything in your account giving you more detailed information about your instances, images (AMI's), volumes, snapshots, elastic IP's, security groups or key pair.

Below you see an example of an instances list. You can monitor the performance and details of every part of your infrastructure. Your dashboard is your access to do this.


Instances

Instances list!

This list of instances is showing you the most important details you want to monitor of your instances. Next to that a green, red or grey coffee bean indicates whether you instance is performing well. Green shows you your instance is running smoothly, red says to you; something is wrong, take a closer look and the grey bean is telling you that the instance is gone from amazon.

So taking one look at the bean gives you the information you want. By tapping on an instance you get to the details of the specific instance, here you can take direct action like, launching, terminating and rebooting your instance! (snapshot instances list)
